Asbestos is DANGEROUS to your health and it DOES still exist. Being exposed to asbestos (even just ONE time) may cause serious health problems, even death. There can be 30 years between the date of exposure and when the health problems begin.

In South Dakota, homeowners are not required to hire a certified asbestos contractor. However we STRONGLY encourage you to look at your options. Some people like to “do it” themselves. We strongly encourage you to learn the proper techniques AND use the proper equipment if you choose to remove asbestos yourself.
